Tie Dyed Blues and Purple Bracelet
Born in fire, the glass beads in this bracelet were made from various shades of glass that "react" with each other under extreme heat to produce interesting lines and patterns. I create twisted canes from my own color recipes and apply them to the base bead. This flat, squeezed shape of bead is soooo comfortable to wear, you can even wear it at work while using the computer. The fine silver clasp is one of my own, and bears the impression of fan coral I found on a deserted beach in Baja, Mexico. Sterling silver findings. 7 3/4" long.
I make all of my own glass beads and headpins from soft glass using a propane and oxygen torch, and they are fully annealed overnight in a digitally controlled kiln for durability. My beads are carefully cleaned with a high speed rotary tool and inspected before assembly into jewelry. Most of my lampwork glass pieces are one of a kind and may be treasured for many years to come. All of my jewelry comes in packaging suitable for gifting.
